Default Spade-what happens

We had our one female dog spade a year ago. I have all mixed breeds (mutts).
They are all rescues and have been good pets but with a few quirks. The old
man of the group is very small, a rat terrier mix (I think). The next bigger
is about the same size (girl). The 3rd is much bigger. I believe by looking
at him and his brother (my sis in law took in) that he is pit, St. Bernard,
lab, mix.

3 months ago I joined the two kennels together into one big one. Just a
couple of days ago the big dog (Murphy) started getting all horny and
frustrated around the female (Moo). My wife noticed this while I was gone
when he attacked the other male dog (Mints). Mints is one of those small
dogs that will never back down so this has caused some problems. I noticed
that Moo (female) is showing blood at the rearand that other dogs are acting
like she is in heat too. Is this possible after she has been spade? I
thought that was like a historectomy for dogs? What so they do in that
operation? Thank you in advance.

Unless you hit her with a shovel, you had her SPAYED.

Outdoor kennel? Is that where they live?

I'm guessing the makles aren't neutered? Even so, mounting is not
necessarily "horny"/

Why on earth haven't you seen the vet? She may have an infection that
could wind up killing her, or indeed, an incomplete SPAY operation.

A vet visit is in order. And appointments to neuter the male dogs
isn't a bad idea either.

Thank you for the reply. They split their time between being inside the
house or in the kennel. We used to live out in the country where they had
plenty of room to roam but had to move and now have neighbors. I will
hopefully have a fence up around the property in a couple of weeks but have
nto been able to afford it yet.

My wife is making an appointment today with the vet to check what the
problem may be. I am wondering why the larger dog's attitude has changed so
much in the last couple of days though.

Thanks again,

Aaron
