Default My dog is still limping

It's been a week now since 9 year old Squire has been on Metacam and
rest (as much as can be expected from a Lab). I have also continued
with the Gloucosamine, twice a day. I bought a ramp for the mini van
so no more jumping for him and for Boots the 8 year old Akita in nd
out of the van. I have tried to ice down the sore joint but with him
that's like spitting in the wind. His attitude is great and his
exuberance is as usual fantastic.

However, he does have to go outside a couple of times a day and climb
down a couple of stairs and then back up a couple. His limp seems as
pronounced as ever. Once this week I heard him yelp outside.

I have heard that shark cartilige is useful and others say it likely
means surgery.

I am really stressed out. Any helpful suggestions?
Thanks Camaro
