Is it possible : dog-to-human tape worms?
Maybe this is a stupid question, but I honestly have no clue.
Everyone's been telling me that I will need to clean all the area's that my puppy has been because he has tape worms. Since it is so imperative to clean everything (carpets, sheets, floors, furniture) because the puppy can get the parasite again, is it possible that humans can get tapeworms from this? Bringing Peeps to the Vet tonight with his fecal and he will be treated there. And follow-ups as well. I just want to make sure no one gets these worms and that the dog does not get again either. Also, they say that when treated, the dog will continue to defecate with worms in it. My puppy randomly eats his 'poop' and if he eats it with the worms in it, will it just be a vicious cycle even though he is getting the treatment? I am going to try the powder that goes on the puppy food to make his poop taste bad so he doesn't eat it. Thanks for any responses!! -Peeps Lover |
