Got to agree with you on this one.

The "animal rights" nitwits had to come out of the woodwork at some
point. There are literally hundreds of thousands of human beings
displaced, homeless, unclothed, hungry, thirsty, sick, dead, and
dying, and these knuckleheads have no better way to focus their
concern than to rescue goddamn dogs and cats.

Catch a ****in' clue! When all the _people_ are happy and healthy,
then we'll worry about the ****ing kitties and puppies.

I shudder to think how PETA will react when they realize that all the
shrimp and oysters in the Gulf of Mexico are underwater, too.

You know what? The people knew what was coming and they had the chance to
get out of there. The animals were completely dependent on their owners to
keep them safe- they had no choice. They should be rescued first and,
hopefully, while they are being rescued, we will lose a few irresponsible
pet owners in the process.

I have a house full of animals .. Not only if the news people were telling
me to get the F out, would I get the F out .. but I wouldn't leave my
animals behind to sink or swim .. Here is my one wish BethO ... when you
rescue those abandoned animals .. do the right thing .. DON'T LET THEIR
OWNERS HAVE THEM BACK !! Leaving them behind equals those ads in the paper
that say "moving .. must find home for my adult ..." dog or cat or whatever
other abandoned animal they are trying to pawn off on some new home.

What about the people who wanted to take them but were told they could not
have them in the shelters or on the transport?
But I do think that people had the obligation to free their animals before
they fled. Those that left dogs inside their houses to "guard them" or
chained in the backyard should be used to repair breaks in the levees.

Unfortunately, they were the first to get eaten by the rioting and
looting schwoogies.
