Default Small pieces of dog poop?

We have two dogs, a yellow lab/chow mix, (8 years old) and a toy rat terrier
(5 years old).

Recently, (in the last 3 months), the rat terrier, (Buzzbee), has been
leaving small pieces of poop around the house. He has been to the vet and
the vet says there is nothing wrong. These small pieces of poop occur about
once every two days. They are about the size of a dime, (we refer to them
as Junior Mints, or Buzzbee bombs). He has also been seen dragging his butt
along the floor, (usually leaving a brown trail).

His other bodily functions appear okay. He has otherwise normal bowel
movements.

Has anyone else seen this problem?
Is there anything we can do?

Thanks,
Patrick

you may want to add a bit of fiber to his diet. Some canned pumpkin
works well and it very palatable.

Sounds as though he is constipated. If so, he is probably trying to go
outside, but the stool does not pass, so he comes back in, only to have
those small pieces drop out.

You do need to add fiber to his diet. Try the pumpkin as was previously
mentioned. Also, try a tablespoon of baby carrots added to his food. I
think many others have ideas as well.

Look into what you are feeding. Is water available at all times?
