Default Starting a dog breeder review website

Hi all,

I had the most excellent luck in locating a breeder for cairn terriers
- a really top notch breeder who has since become a dear friend.

I thought I found a highly responsible breeder for a westie. Then I
felt duped by her after bringing home the dog and finding she tested
positive for Giardia and now has chronic diarrhea - and the breeder has
since ceased her communication with me and vet bills are piling up as I
try to figure out with the vet what possible problems are causing the
diarrhea.

Consequently, I thought about starting a website that would allow
people to share their references and experiences for breeders they've
had good luck with as well as very bad luck.

So, what do you think about the value of a site like that and what
suggestions may you have for it?

I think it sounds like an excellent opportunity for people
to libel breeders with whom they've had a disagreement, and
for breeders to post rave reviews of themselves.

It sounds like a really good way to get sued. And many people measure a
"GOOD" breeder by different standards. What you consider an excellent
breeder, probably wouldn't hit my radar on criteria at all.

As regards the diarrhea it is not uncommon for puppies to get giardia or
coccidia if they leave home at too young and age. The combined stress of
being weaned and going into a new environment completely shatters their
immune system.

Hope the pup is better now. The breeder should have paid for the
medications, at least.
