Default Mean, dominant male

I have a dog in my new class who is displaying some fairly disturbing
behaviour.
He is more or less fine with his male master, though a bit dog aggressive. I
write this off to lack of experience with other dogs, he doesn't seem to get
out much.
The disturbing behaviour manifests when the fellows girlfriend is attempting
to hande him.
He growls fairly continuously, and acts in a fairly threatening manner
towards *her*, unless something has his attention.
Apparently, this behaviour has been escalating for some time, which is why
they are now taking classes.
I am of the opinion that the dog is very close to losing his bit inhibition,
as are the other trainers who have witnessed this fellows behaviour.
he is definitely pushing the girl around hard, and she is quite terrified of
him, I think with good reason.
He is definetly dominant with a mean streak about him.
He is a LabX, so is a sizable animal.
I have indicated that she should not be left alone with the dog, or attempt
to handle the dog by herself, and am tempted to recommend they destroy the
animal.
This is a most distressing situation, the second last thing I want to do is
tell them they should euthenize their dog, but the last thing i want is for
the dog to hurt someone.

Comments other than that we are all a bunch of abusers and should buy the
puppy devil's video are appreciated.

Thanks
William Robb
