Default It finally happened - Escaped Dogs

I now live in an apartment, and don't have a fenced yard to let the dogs
out into anymore. The dogs have to wait to be taken out the sliding
glass door one at a time on the flexi for short potty breaks.

All of the dogs had to go out, but Brando was dancing the most. I try to
walk the other two first, as Brando is the bottom of the totem pole.
But, he also has neurological damage, and has the weakest bladder. From
the way he was dancing, I knew I'd have a mess if I took him out last.
So, I took him first. As I was walking him out the door, Grant and Harry
darted out and took off.

Harry took off immediately, darting towards the busy street. Grant
stopped to pee, but took off after Harry before I could grab him. I
hollered at them to come back, and Grant came back pretty quickly. I
tossed him and Brando back in the house immediately.

Harry turned back from the road, and then kept doing the "Can't catch
Harry" flyby. I pretended to go back in the sliding glass door. Turning
my back was the hardest thing to do, but took the chance that he
wouldn't want to be left alone outside. It worked, and he came back.

My heart is pounding. I'm glad they came back, but half disappointed
that I didn't just physically capture them because now I can't strangle
them since they came back on their own.

Brando is terrified. He's such a soft dog, and can't deal with raised
voices. There is a single dog turd on my patio. I have a bad feeling he
got very frightened when I was hollering at Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dumb,
and did that out of fear

It makes things very hard for Brando sometimes. He's a very soft and
biddable dog, and can't deal with conflict at all. Then, he lives with
two very pushy dogs with skulls a mile thick. He often falls apart when
I have to be less than smiles and praise with the Dastardly Duo.

Poor B-Dawg

time for some recall work (as well as STAY)? I'm sure they think they
can go flying out, if they were used to doing that into a fenced yard.
Time to teach some new habits
