Why is the news media making jokes about the sad story of the whippet
from the Westminster Dog Show getting out and lost at the New York
airport? Every news story I have seen about this on CNN, Fox and my
local news has treated this in a light harded way. Like they are
reporting on a some feelgood human intrest story instead of the tragic
story it really is. The poor dog is/was facing the elements, coyotes,
busy streets and highways. Since it is whippet, it probably didn't make
it in the cold over night since they have no body fat and very little
hair. The news achors were making cracks about the dog not liking NY or
being upset it didn't with the Best In Show. They made stupid remarks
about puting out some milkbones and how it was trying to chatch an
earlier flight. The CNN guy even sang the DEVO "Whip It" song because
the dog is a "Whippet"! I just hope they find the dog.
