Default Dogs biting the back of necks of shorter dogs

I have a mix breed dog (black lab and dachshund) with long body and
short legs. The dog is 8 months old and weights 25 pounds. I like to
take him to a local dog park to socialize with other dogs. The larger
dogs tend to bite the back of his neck.

Is there a repellent type of device or bad tasting solution or suave I
could put on him?
All suggestions are welcome.

This is how dogs often play while they're running around. I
think that it's OK as long as it doesn't get out of control or
unless one particular dog is being bullied.

By "bite", I assume you mean "grab" and not a prolonged grip.

Nope, at least none that would work.

All suggestions are welcome.

More information, please! I deal a lot with small dogs
interacting with larger dogs, and your original description is
way too general for me to offer good advice.
