Default Shrieking Poodle

I have searched for an FAQ for this newsgroup but couldn't find one, so
excuse me if this would
be in it.

My elderly parents have a 3 year old mini poodle that has the most shrill
shrieking bark. She barks
constantly when outside. The neighbors have 5 dogs on one side and 2 on the
other as well as 2 cats.
The worst part is that my dad is the one who usually let's her out and he
has dementia. He'll put her
out, let her back in and then in 2 minutes, he's forgot that she just came
back and he'll let her out again,
so she is outside more than she needs to be.

When they first got her, a neighbor wrote an anonymous letter complaining.
I've tried to impress upon
them to keep her inside, but it's not doing much good.

Any suggestions?

Get your parents some home health care help. It's not a problem with the
dog, it's a problem with humans.

My sister and husband had her first and she did the same with them. Sister
took her to class and worked
with her and finally gave her to mom because her husband said one of the
dogs had to go. They are 50ish
and no health problems.
