Default Live racing vs Virtual racing?

Live racing vs Virtual racing:

Hi All,

I am new here; I am a true dog lover and greyhound fan, so much so that
I have set up a virtual greyhound game: http://www.gon2dogs.com

It is a friendly site that basically let's people from all over the
world become 'virtual greyhound trainers'. They breed, train, buy,
sell, race and can watch the races on a 2d viewer. In light of some
reports of cruelty to greyhounds and their mistreatment after they
finish racing, I have stopped going to live greyhound tracks and prefer
to enjoy the sport from the comfort of my own home.

I would be interested to learn your views on this subject 'live
greyhound racing Vs virtual'.

One point to highlight is that http://www.gon2dogs.com is not a real
money gambling game and has no affiliation to bookmakers or online
gaming. It is a 'members only' site, where you can compete for top
honors and races (like our own greyhound derby) to win 'real prizes'.

I did not mean for this to sound like a plug for my site and I am sorry
if it has turned out that way. The main point is 'virtual racing' like
http://www.gon2dogs.com the way of the future for the sport and the
welfare of the real hounds? If so what happens to the greyhounds if
more and more racing tracks lean towards online dog racing as a means
of their income?

Thanks for you time.

Steve.
