Default How do you know when your dog has a fever?

My dogs head is very hot to touch, and we don't know if she has a fever
or not, we are very concerned. Could someone help??

How is she otherwise? Attitude, activity, bowel movements.

To me, "very concerned" involves at least a phone call to a
veterinarian.
