Does anybody have any experiance with this mix? If so, can they tell me
a bit about it? I need a quick reply. I might get the ownership of a
one year old proly trained akita/pitbull mixed dog in a day or two..

i know someone with a pit/akita mix who cannot be around any small
animals, other dogs, or children. they love the dog very much and keep
him out of any situation where he could encounter these problems.

it's a lot of work to handle an aggressive dog, or even one that people
just think is aggressive. read my post "anyone have experience with
animal control" to see what recently happened to me, and this is with a
solid dog who loves people. all it takes is for people to get excited
or scared of your breed, or a fight with another dog, for your dog to
be in danger of being destroyed.

if you're willing to do the work and take the risk, both breeds can be
wonderful dogs. i'd try to find more about the background, why the
owner is getting rid of it, and hang out with the dog a bit to check
temprement before adopting.

but he has no problem with socializeing with other dogs. Though, he's

Neither, I'd feel sorry for the neighbor.

Just make sure that you are ready to accept the kind of qualities that
come with the dog. Predatory behavior and dog aggression are to be
expected. As with any powerful breed attention to obedience training is
required to prevent the dog from making its own decisions about who is
allowed in the house etc.

I am fully aware of how much training the dog needs. I've had dogs
before. I have allso worked close with the K9 squad at my base while i
was in the army. Picked up alot there when it comes to training.

No problem. No problem at all. I normally dont type that much wrong,
but I've been out of school for a few years now, so it's getting a bit
rusty. I we allso have people useing "prolly" instead of PROBABLY in
the gameing societies here in Europe as well. And it annoys the beegees
out of me.
