Bull terrier jaw trouble
Recently my 9 year old staffordshire bull terrier seems to have trouble
opening his mouth wide open. When he yarns its not as full as it was say a week ago. He also no longer picks up his toy, more then likely because it is quite big and has to open his jaw wide open to do so. Can anyone give me some advise on what maybe causing this? Thanks. |

Well, when it happened to me, it was because my wisdom teeth were impacted and I had to have them out. So it's possible your dog might have a tooth infection, but... Why not take him to the vet and get a proper diagnosis? Linda Thanks for your reply linda, would the problem you mentioned stop him in opening his mouth wide open? It could be masticatory myositis, an immune-mediated problem. Take him to the vet. Mustang Sally |
