Default Doggy sleep question

Hey...

I just wanted to ask a quick question.. Any help would be appreciated
My dog Roxie sleeps with me at night, but I've noticed that when she
does periodically she will shake or whine, usually both at the same
time.
Now I know snoring can be normal for dogs... but is this? Should I be
concerned?
Its almost like shes having a really bad dream like every night a
couple times a night, because if I wake her up buy saying her name or
patting her she stops.

Anyway thanks in advance
Will

She's probably just dreaming. My dog Barney that passed away used to dream
all the time. He would even move his feet like he was chasing something and
bark.

My dog also dreams a lot. She whines and moves her legs as though she were
running. I make a noise or call her name to wake her up.

As does one of mine. His nose twitches, his ears twitch, and his
feet make little running movements. We figure he's busy chasing
wabbits.

Animals have REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, just as humans do.
When your dog is whining, check her eyes - they are likely moving
back and forth under the lids. And since most of human dreaming
takes place during REM sleep, it's probably not too presumptuous
to think that your dogs are also dreaming.

Don't think of it as getting hot flashes.
Think of it as your inner child playing with matches.

Most dogs dream at some point. My dog dreams almost every. If it seems
like a bad dream, that is she's whining and whimpering, I'll gently say her
name and wake her. If she's kicking her legs like she's running and appears
to be having a good dream, I just leave her alone. - - Les

Aw! What a considerate boy, barking with his inside voice.

Harriet growls (and twitches) in her sleep. I can't truthfully say
it's cute or charming, but I suppose it could be worse. As long as
she doesn't shove her feet in my face, I shouldn't complain.

I had a dog who--aside from snoring--laughed like a hyena in his
sleep. They were actually muted little barks, which is funny in
itself, because he wasn't normally a barky dog.

My dog Yoda dreams in his sleep too. He does the usual whimpering and
moving his legs. But the one thing I have never heard of any other dog
do is he sucks on his tongue sometimes while he is dreaming.

Tallulah would like to know what's wrong with putting her feet in people's
faces (or backs, or stomachs, or otherwise)?

Sleeping in the bed is no fun unless everyone! sleeps! in! the! same! spot!
