Speaking of Forgetting Routine Things...
I woke up early this morning, then went back to bed because I felt like
crap. I finally got up for good at about 8:00. For the past three hours, Harriet been insistent that she needs to go outside rightthisminute, but once she's out the door, she immediately turns around and asks to come back in. I have been unamused. At first, I thought maybe the wet grass, which is a little long, might be hurting her poor wee princess toesies. But, she usually enjoys sunbathing on the deck, and it's beautiful weather for it, so that doesn't make sense. This is a dog that, on any other day, would be eager to wallow in the sun. Folks, I R DUM. And, I R forgetful. Our normal routine is that we go outside as soon as I wake up, then we come in and Harriet is fed. Only, I think I must have forgotten the second half of that equation this morning. For the life of me, I can't remember if I fed her or not. She may have scammed a second breakfast out of me, but I really don't think so. I think I really did forget to feed my poor dog this morning. -- Shelly http://www.cat-sidh.net (the Mother Ship) http://esther.cat-sidh.net (Letters to Esther) B is for Basil assaulted by bears. -- Edward Gorey, The Gashlycrumb Tinies |

Shelly,
You think you forgot to feed your dog this AM? That could never happen here. Feeding time is 5PM and my Lab starts pacing and plants himself by the bag until I give it up. He know when it is 5 too....if it wasn't for him I probably would have some hungry dogs around here lots of days....Judy Be Free, Judy |

Harriet is fed 3x/day, and while she will remind me when it's past mealtime, she's not demanding about it. Her hints come in the form of telling me it's time to go outside (something we do before every meal). -- Shelly http://www.cat-sidh.net (the Mother Ship) http://esther.cat-sidh.net (Letters to Esther) You will find poetry nowhere unless you bring some of it with you. -- Joseph Joubert |
