Default Gifted Canine Actors Required for 16mm Short

'Lucky Boy', a 16mm short drama, is a Sydney Film School major
production for 2006. Based around the shadow world of greyhound racing,
it is set and will be filmed in and around Sydney's Inner West,
Wentworth Park Greyhound Track, and the NSW coast, where luck ebbs and
flows with the tide.

Angus is down at the dogs. Doc Lee's down on the dogs. Quinn's just
down. Everyone here has a master. Everyone here is somebody's dog. But
luck ebbs and flows with the tide. And it's a lovely day for the beach.

Our shooting dates are 20 Oct - 23 Oct 2006.

Currently in pre-production, we have all our human roles filled. What
we're looking for now is our dogs!

We have the following canine roles to fill:

1. Leading Dog: LUCKY BOY. The eponymous male greyhound of the title.

Required to:
- lie down and look sick a lot (in a car boot and a dental surgery);
- run across a beach, affectionately lick a human character, and
down/drop on command;
- be available for filming on Saturday 21st October and Sunday 22nd
October.

2. Supporting Dog: DOC'S DOG. The household pet of a respectable
inner west dentist. Breed and sex not important - any medium to large
breed.

Required to:
- sit;
- look expectant;
- stay by his master's side;
- ideally would be able to bark on command, but this is not vital;
- be available for filming on Sunday 22nd October.

This is an excellent opportunity for talented dogs to get a showreel
and launch a potentially lucrative screen career in commercials, film
and television. Obedient dogs with proven screen experience are often
better paid than the actors.

If you and your dog would like to join us, please contact our Casting
Director, Shari Li, on 0403 286 629 or at ASAP.
