breed/mix?

: http://shattering.org/images/cocoa.jpg http://shattering.org/images/playtime3.jpg (the pit bull is 17" at the shoulder and 55 pounds) Brown tanpoint, long-coated - and BIG. Looks a lot like Hovawart, but they don't come in brown and I don't think you have that breed over there. They are not this big, either. Brown has to be inherited from both parents, and there are not that many big brown breeds. Newfie is, but they don't come in tanpoint and this one doesn't look too much like a 1st gen Newfie cross. Malamutes have brown too, but there is no way this a 1st gen Mal cross either. Border Collie crosses (and Aussie Shep crosses) look often just like this, and the color would be possible too, but the other partner of such a cross had to be really big. My guess: half Australian Shepherd, 25 % brown Newfie and 25 % about anything, which is big but not super heavy. Liisa |
