The light was right this morning. Zipper has his own chair set up under
the window...

*Very* nice! Even when he's being contemplative, he oozes
personality.

Clearly, he's a pensive guy with much to contemplate.

Great pix!

Shall I bite Cala first today? Or Viva? Will I get to hunt rats? Can I
reach the top of the vanity today? I try and try and try and try. Surely
today will be the day.

Well it's a bit more than just using dry brush. I played with levels,
contrast, and shadow and highlight so that the back yard actually showed
through instead of just a grey pane. The dry brush was my standard
setting of 0 10 0.

Unsolicited info here--for anyone wanting to learn really, really cool
Photoshop stuff, try lynda.com, and specifically anything you can get
ahold of by Michael Ninness. Easy to learn and I've picked up more
Photoshop info in the past month or so than I have in all the years I've
owned it.

That's the thing I love about Photoshop. No matter how much
you know, there's always more to learn. It can be as simple
or as complex as you want to make it, so a beginner can learn
basic stuff, but will not outgrow the program as they gain
skills.

I took a year-long course in computer graphics (required, or I
probably wouldn't have, but I'm *incredibly* glad I did). We
did some animation and CAD stuff (which I promptly forgot),
but the focus was on Photoshop and Illustrator. I think that
was easily one of the most useful classes I took in college.

You seem to be mocking these very serious concerns.

Humans are no better. My first thought upon arriving at the office today
was "I hope someone else brought in leftover Halloween candy, because I
forgot mine at home."

Please don't tell my boss.
