Default We got a second dog

In and amongst the insanity, there are excellent nuggets. The surrogate
toy concept sounds like quite a good one to me, but for slightly
different reasons that what the author suggests. The entire concept of
taking emphasis off fussing at the dog during departure and return are
quite healthy ideas. Most humans find it difficult to avoid emotional
departures and reunions. By giving them the surrogate toy to react to
instead, it should help the human avoid jacking up the dog on egress
and ingress. Quite sound reasoning. In fact, very similar advice is so
standard for Sep. Anxiety that its in the tips section of the Clomicalm
web site. I think Clomicalm is wildly over prescribed, and most of the
dogs who destroy things when the owner is away are merely bored and
frustrated. Anyway, if you can pierce through the madness, there really
are some very interesting concepts in there.

Flame away oh guru of madness.
