Default Keepin'r 'ears outta the water

We have been acquired of a cocker spaniel pup, 3.5 months old. When she
drinks from the communal water bowl, her long floppy ears get wet.

Being a pup she doesn't seem to mind. Being clueless owners, it this
something we should be worried about?

Maybe she should have her own small bowl. She must be sticking her whole
head into the bowl. If she had a small bowl, her ears would probably hang
on the outside of the bowl and not get wet. When my daughter's pugs drink
from my rottie's large bowl, their entire heads go into the bowl, so then I
get out two small bowls for them to drink from and they're ok.
