So, Montana, how's it going?

Neo shows no indication of whelping the puppies. Most of them can sit

Well I certainly hope she doesn't whelp them, again! ;-)

I suspect she has now taught them not to bite her nipples. When they are
actually nursing, there are no teeth in contact with her teats. I know
this from nursing my own babies far longer than the average human mother,
and also from letting my kitten suckle on my lip. Neo's milk is very good
for them, so I can't imagine any reason for her to totally wean them yet.
She'll do it when it's the right time. Also, her milk supply will diminish
slowly as they take more and more food from other sources. Sudden weaning
just isn't comfortable at all.

I'm sorry the elimination process has been such an "adventure." Ugh.

Wouldn't she have to put them back in for that?

Not sure anyone could talk me into that either.

Sounds like a crazy time. Maybe that's why the puppy breath only kicks in
right before the shot hits the fan (and the floor, and the walls....); its
another one of those survival mechanisms to help them survive puppyhood.
Like that whole Being Unbearably Cute thing. Stops the powers in charge
from killing them outright.
