"streetjockey" wrote in message ups.com... just got a couple of beef bones from the butcher. Any special prep to do before i give them to my two G's .......what kind of bones? Leg bones, knuckle bones? Leg bones are weight bearing bones and very hard and could be hard on your dog's teeth not to mention if they've got a lot of marrow in them they could make your dog sick. Knuckle bones can be consumed, but are a much better workout. If your dog hasn't had real bones before I'd limit their time with them, toss them in the fridge and give again the next day. For some dogs this is too rich a fare. Just go slowly. buglady take out the dog before replying |
