When I've had neighbors with dogs that barked non-stop I've
talked with them.

We're all different, though. While I have no problem with confrontations
of any type, many people aren't naturally comfortable with them.

Melanie, if you don't feel comfortable talking with them, you could leave a
note just from yourself, signing your name and leaving your address. You
could say that you would have liked to talk, but couldn't catch them home.
By writing, you can choose your words in a way that makes you feel
comfortable and that wouldn't be at all offensive to your neighbor. If I
didn't feel comfortable approaching them, this is what I would do.

If I were the recipient of such a note, I would appreciate your honesty and
I would also appreciate knowing who left the note.
