The dog is a shar pei mix and he was just starting to get good at
using his pee pad during the day when he is alone. Now he has started
chewing it up and then there is huge mess when we get home. Any clever
solutions? Thanks

Males are so easy to train. I'm not sure of this, but isn't every
month a dog is means he can hold it an hour. Can you take a couple of
weeks and work exclusively getting him to go outside? Pet smart has a
great class on housebreaking.
