Default Bacterial skin infection

Hello,

I have a Chow-husky cross that had a bacterial skin infection (skin
turning black, a few scabs under elbows and eventually started loosing
some hair). She was treated with antibiotics for 2 weeks and improved.
Now, a few month later it has come back. It does not seem to affect my
dog very much but I imagine it will eventually. Any clues why this
condition is coming back and what could cause it ? I feed kibble
designed for performance dog with a higher amount of fat (I run her as
a sleddog in the winter) and tried switching her to rice and lamb but
it was not better (even seemed worse actually) I should add that her
mother has had the same condition once after having her puppies but
that it cleared after the treatment and never came back.

Thanks for any advice

If it's Staph, that can take as long as a month to clear up. Was it
actually diagnosed or did they just assume it was bacterial? Probably needs
to be on antibiotics a longer amount of time.
