Warning - avoid soft plastic toys for your dog
I gave my little 11 pound maltese mix a new dog toy three days ago which
was a soft plastic toy that if you sqeezed made a squeaky sound. For some reason her favorite toys are all squeky toys. Thank god all but one are cloth based. Anyways I bought her this new toy and gave it to her. She put it with her other toys and when I went to pick up her toys for the night and put them in her basket I noticed she had the bottom of her plastic toy was gone. I looked closer and it was bitten off. When I looked for it I realized she ate it. So far I am lucky since Thursday her poops and urine have been normal. She has had no constipation nor diarhea. So no more soft plastic toys for her only cloth toys. Oddly I find dolls for infants tend to be the sturdiest dolls she has. She has torn apart many stuffed animals that I gave her but her infant dolls are still intact. She treats her toys exceedingly roughly. I would avoid soft plastic toys that squeak. |
