Im trying to help my SIL get in contact with Sheltie rescue in FL -
pennsacola area. She has a sheltie, approx 4 years old, who does NOT like
kids. The dog was a stray that they took in about 2 1/2 years ago. The
dog, Maggie, recently snapped at their 2 year old son. She gets along well
with other dogs and all adults, but just doesnt like kids. She would be a
great only dog as she is quite the attention hog.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help. I gave her several email addresses and she had already
been in contact with Jan (not sure which orgainizaion). SIL is going to
keep Maggie until after Christmas then rescue will take her as soon as they
have an opening. And if something else happens with the baby, they are to
call rescue and they will find some way to take her immediately.
I was mostly worried that rescue wouldnt want to take Maggie because of the
snapping issue. She is a very nice dog (SIL says) and well behaved, just
doesnt like kids.
