Default Sore on elbow

My dog has had a sore on her elbow for about 2 weeks now, it started out looking like a small scab and then it got bigger. Now it hasn't gotten any larger since a few days after I noticed it but now it doesn't look scabbed over at all it just looks raw all the time. I have been trying to put Hydrogen Peroxide and A&D ointment on it. For a few days it started to look better but now it's just back to wear it was before. It's not a callous either, I dont know if it just can't heal since she is a big lug and runs into things and flops down all the time or if it's something more searious and I need to go to the vet. I check it out all the time and it doesn't seem to bother her at all, I think it bugs us more than her. What do you think?

I'd stop the A & D ointment. Ointment traps moisture and bacteria and A & D
doesn't have anti-bacterial properties. At this point you can try heat packs
a few times a day, but you should really have it checked by a vet.

Some the onintment, it may be causing reaction, making it irritable.
If it grown it would be best to get checked by a vet. They may
suggest biopsy or to remove fully.
