I've been told by my distributor that Blackwood and
Annamaet are manufactured by Ohio Pet Foods and Caribou
Creek and Red Paw by Fromm's. Neither plant uses wheat
or rice products from China:

While the mushing community may seem like a big consumer
of dog food, it's actually a very small niche market,
too small for most of the big manufacturers to want to
bother with the small batches of the specialty companies
(who contract out their processing) at their plants. In
this case, that's a good thing. I'm not sure about the
performance brands sold by the big guys, like
Iams. Royal Canin has recalled some of their specialty
feeds due to the rice flour being used.
