Foxtails
Whenever I see foxtails, I'm reminded of diddy's ordeal with
Danny and a foxtail awn. That was when I found out about the dangers of the things. Itchmo has an article on foxtails, worth reading now that foxtail season is upon us. http://www.itchmo.com/read/foxtails-...-dogs_20070520 I've been scouring my yard and ripping them out, but the bloody things are all over the place near the local walking trails and sidewalks. The foxtail has seriously injured or killed more than a few hunting and field-trial dogs. IMO, the owner of a dog that spends any amount of time out in the field should have this book in his library: http://www.amazon.com/Field-Guide-Em.../dp/1885106041 -- Handsome Jack Morrison Prouder than ever to not be a member of the "reality-based community"! |
