Default Pet Food Recall: Which dry food is "best" these days?

For years I've been feeding my golden retriever "Nutro Natural for
Large Breeds", which is a dry food. I thought it was the best next
choice, compared to a "raw diet" which is not realistic for me.

Although this brand was not directly involved in the pet recall a few
months ago, I'm told that Nutro Natural canned pet food was involved,
along with Iams and Eukenaba. This really pisses me off, I thought
these three companies, at the least, were semi-reputable.

So.... What brand is the king of the "high quality" dry food these
days? Which is the least of all evils? Who can you trust? Does anyone
have any info or links to sites that compares all dry pet foods and
helps you make a decision?

Thanks

Yeah, it's a real pisser, isn't it :-( .

You'll have to do some of the legwork, but these sites have
information about which products and companies have had recalls:

http://petfoodtracker.blogspot.com/
http://www.itchmo.com/recalls.html
http://www.fda.gov/oc/opacom/hottopics/petfood.html

And this one list both what is and what is not on the recall list:
