Peanut's First Fireworks
OK, Peanut doesn't like fireworks. It didn't totally freak him out, but
he was Not Amused and demanded we take him out right after they were over. (We live a mile from the mall in DC, so we can see _and_ hear the national fireworks display quite well from our living room.) It didn't help that the elevators were full of people coming down from watching the fireworks on the roof...although they were very sympathetic for the poor frazzled beagle and crowded together to make room for him (me: "He has to go outside *now* so we have to work this out." Them: "Oh, he's *cute*, move over, you guys."). He was *very* glad to get outside finally, but hurried through the walk as quickly as he could. Back inside and a biscuit later, though, he seems to be his normal self. There are still fireworks going on all around the horizon (to the east, anyway, the direction I'm looking right now), but they're far enough away that we don't hear them and he doesn't mind them at all. -- boss, sometimes i think * * * * * |* kevin michael vail that our friend mehitabel * * * * |* is a trifle too gay * * * * * * * | * * * * -- archy* * * * * * * * * |* wotthehell wotthehell |
