Default OT- It's a girl!

I have a new niece, Emma. She was born at 1:03am today and is very cute!
She is 7 pounds 1 ounce and 19 inches long.

Happy Birthday Emma!

My 2 favorite smells on earth (in order) are the smell of a newborn baby's
head, and puppy breath.

Congrats, Auntie!! She's gorgeous. I'm loving that dark hair! Enjoy her.

BTW, Emma is one of my favorite names for human baby girls. Your sister
(brother?) and spouse have great taste!

We are already, she is such a quiet, calm baby. I wonder how long that will
last!

its my sister. she did a good job with the first name but I (along with
everyone else in my family, including Emma's siblings, do not like her
middle name, which is Michelle, BTW).

I think you should get CPS involved. That's some seriously abusive naming.

But seriously, you'll get used to it. NO ONE in our family liked our
daughter's name when we chose it, and now no one can imagine her with any
other name. OTOH, I'm not pleased anymore with the middle name we chose
for our son, but he rarely gets in trouble so I rarely have to use it.

yeah, the middle name is kinda after Emma's father who is Michael but I
still think its too aweful to do that to the kid. according to my sister
though, its written in stone. as my 7 year old nephew said, "Yuck" and
we'll care her "Emma Seashell" if she gets in trouble.
