Default OT-CA Fires

If you are in a fire area, please keep your doors and windows closed, and turn
off your A/C to keep smoke out of your house. Bring any pets inside who you
can. If they mention voluntary evacuations, or you are in the path of your
fires, get your animals contained. Put your pets in carriers, on leashs. Get
your pet food, and any medications your animals need together. Take any vet
records or pictures of them you might have. Start making arrangements to
evacuate any livestock, and get them either in trailers, penned in a small
area, or on halters and tied.

Do NOT wait to catch your pets, if you do, you might not get them in time. Make
sure that each of your pets has identification! This is very important. If you
are separated from your pets, you need to make sure they have ID! Write your
name and a contact number OTHER than your home number on collars or halters if
you do not have tags. (If the tag has your home number, write your alt number
on the collar)

If your gas tank is less than half full, go fill up your tank. Do it now. You
might not have time later! Because of road closures, you might have to drive
much further than usual to get to safety. It is best that you leave during the
voluntary evacuations. Roads are crowded, get out early to help free up the
roads for fire crews.
