this is in line with my thinking. But where are the advantages for the
not-quite-elderly like me who have to suffer a puppy in preparation for
mutual old age? Never seen so much poo from one pup, he could single
handedly fertilise Barkshire (sic)

Try a better quality food then. Crappy food has more fillers and creates
more poop.
