good or bad?

... http://www.petedge.com/All-Weather-S...kets-ZT864.pro this item claims to be "Useful for protecting pets in crates, exercise pens, kennel runs, and vehicles in extreme weather." would this make people think its ok to leave pets in hot cars in the summer? It's a tool. They are everywhere at agility trials. I've also seen them covering kennel runs - great for providing shade, blocking wind. There are similar products that also allow air flow while shading. Like all tools, they can be dangerous when used incorrectly or inappropriately. The truth is that using one would increase the margin of safety when leaving pets in hot cars. But it has a limit. I think it has to do with the definition of "extreme weather". Mine for the schnauzers and Melinda's for the Sibes are probably very different - more so in winter than in summer. Judy |
