Splenic tumour
Barnaby, our 6 year old English Cocker Spaniel (solid black) was fine (but
lethargic) on Friday and put down on Saturday following exploratory surgery which showed a 'cancerous tumour in the spleen and numerous small tumours elsewhere'. We still can't believe it. What we struggle to come to terms with is that 3 weeks before his demise, we took Barnaby to the vet because he was 'chasing his backside' - something we've never seen him do before. He was also having problems passing stools. (In hindsight we can now see a lot more). The vet gave him the all-clear and to help with the bowel-thing recommended a course of worming. This particular vet has tended to Barnaby for his whole, but sadly short life. Anyone any comments please? Peter & Lindsey |
