Default Feeding dogs

I have both young small dogs and young large dogs plus an older dog,
several young adults as well. I don't breed dogs or sell dogs I just
like variety. I can afford their vet care as well as their feed and do
have large chain link kennels for each one. That said I will tell you
how I handle the different nutritional needs of my dogs of all sizes,
ages and so forth. My larger dogs, ACDs and Australian Shepherd get a
thirty percent protein, twenty per cent fat diet. That is what they were
getting until I
broke my arm and messed up my shoulder. Until then we
were running two miles a day. Since they weren't getting the same amount
of exercise my vet and I decided to lower their protein a bit.
Rather tan change dog food or having a half dozen different bags of dog
food around I simply started cutting my dogs high pro dog food with
rice. Works for me, my dogs are in great shape, nice coats, and still
are growing well. My younger dogs, less than a year, get the high pro
plus a little rice, they like it. I also feed chicken to my dogs daily,
cooked. My crock pot is always on with chicken for the dogs. This is how
I manage my feeding program. I have a very good vet and he thinks it is
a good Idea. All of my dogs come into the house at night. My big pups
are high energy dogs and I'm afraid they would devastate the house if
left loose at night. So they go into extra large crates. Most of the
little dogs sleep with us, three or four. Big bed. All of my big pups
are house trained and well socialsed, as are my smaller dogs. Delta
