Werewolves accepted into Kennel Club
"http://newsbiscuit.com/article/kennel-club-official-breeds-to-include-
werewolf-2" Blame the owners NOT the werewolf! The British Kennel Club has raised eyebrows in the Dog Showing world after announcing that the Werewolf is finally going to be recognised as an official dog breed, following years of campaigning from devoted Werewolf lovers. The large powerful wolf-like breed will compete at this year’s Crufts in the ‘Utility’ section, alongside such traditional family favourites as the Dalmation, the Schnauzer and the French Bulldog. As well as the popular Flyball competition and the agility and obedience trials, competing dogs will now also be marked on their ability to howl at the moon having transformed from a human during a painful and horrific metamorphosis. Ben Fogle, a long standing supporter of the controversial Werewolf breed declared himself delighted with the decision; ‘Werewolves have long suffered from a poor reputation based on exaggerated tabloid reports of them savaging lone humans during the full moon, leaving them to join the ‘undead’ until the bloodline is broken. In fact they are just being friendly, but people don’t know how to react to them.’ But the police have expressed concern that ‘Lycanthropes’ may now become a ‘status pet’ for drug dealers and gang leaders. Werewolves were not among the proscribed breeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act, but fans of the breed admit that this official recognition may make the werewolf popular with those who do not have the time to train this ‘exuberant’ breed properly. ‘People get a Werewolf puppy, not thinking about how big they get when the moon is full and the blood lust must be sated’ said Ben Fogle. ‘But it is not fair to blame the dog if the pavement is littered with human ribs and internal organs. It’s up to the owners to clear up after their pet. Blame the owner, not the Werewolf!’ |
