Default Boarding Kennel

My dog -now a little older- is used to running around on thirty-three
acres with wild geese, squirrels and ducks to entertain him all day.
Whenever he chooses to come into the house, which is very often, he
gets more affection than most dogs in the world. We need to board the
dog at some kennel for 45 days while we travel overseas this summer to
Bulgaria. We looked at nearly two dozen different boarding kennels but
there is no way our dog could stay there. Most of them were not
acceptable for various reasons. Please suggest the very best kennel
you are aware of -anywhere in the US/Canada- where we could board our
dog. Many thanks.

I would not board him for such a long period of time. Seeing that he has
such freedom, I doubt that he'll adapt to the kennel and will likely develop
a serious case of Kennel Stress. Can you find a pet sitter who will take him
in? How about a relative or friend?
