New peechurs! I love both of these.
http://www.totalminpin.net/images/zi..._head_1_sm.jpg http://www.totalminpin.net/images/zi..._head_2_sm.jpg These were taken at our local UKC agility trial. Zip ended up qualifying all four runs to finish is Ag1 title, and got High in Trial on Sunday, finishing over 34 seconds under course time for fastest dogs all breeds, all classes, all heights (they do HIT in UKC, it's the only agility organization I know of that does). I'm polishing off his weave performance then it's on to AKC, after an ASCA trial the end of March. |

That's awesome. Congratulations! Has Cala warmed up to the idea of having him around as a permanent fixture? Suja |

Today when he was gone she was, like, "where's my play toy?" and kept pitifully placing her head on my arm. I'd stayed home from work so I could rush his x-rays over to the OFA. Looks like he'll be a Good or Fair on hips, LCP free, Elbows normal. |

Zipper makes me feel inadequate. That first picture is mesmerizing. -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |

Friday is finally warming up to puppy Maybe, and she's been here just over 7 months. He now no longer growls at her play bows and licking-his-face approaches, but still doesn't play. Maybe they're too much alike. -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |

Maybe they're too much alike. I can sympathize. The good news is that we have concluded that Bella is only a real jerk when she doesn't feel well and she is rarely off her game. From the first snowfall to today, the dogs relationship had changed for the better. Beanie doesn't muzzle lick all the time and Bella has taken to washing Beanie's face and ears for her. They spend a lot of time playing every day. They enjoy hanging out at the top of the stairs together watching Window TV. Both dogs lick each other's empty bowls (this was NOT ALLOWED by Bella previously). They act like friends, now. They seem comfortable with each other's rhythms. They sleep together. It's been 16 months. We thought the relationship building would be different, faster, easier, etc. It wasn't too difficult, mind you, but it wasn't they way we imagined it would be. It has taken some human intervention in regulating resources (me) and a bit more guidance than we realized. |

Maybe they're too much alike. Posting from google (blech). It was over six months before Cala decided he could live. Another several before she deigned to play with him (other than the prey/chase I-will-eat-you stuff which I had to control). Now they're big buds. But Cala's prey drive is such that I very rarely leave them alone together. She wouldn't mean to hurt him, but sometimes she just forgets her brane. |
