Default Counter surfing those YUMMY rolls....you'd think I'd learn

I went shopping today bought a 6 pack of very yummy smelling onion rolls. I
was looking forward to having a very tasty turkey sandwich when I got home.
Instead I thought it's nice out I'll clean the yard first before I eat.
Half way through I needed another bag to finish the job. I got another bag
and put the dogs inside while I finished. BIG MISTAKE.........not putting
the rolls in the fridge when I first got home. Twenty minutes later I go
inside, wash my hands and turn around and see the remnants of the plastic
bad in the hall way...........arrrggggggggg. Not a roll left not even a
crumb every last blasted piece GONE!

Ladys sitting in the living room looking at me all innocent, Gabby "who I'm
positive took them from the counter" all happily wagging her tail and
bouncing around and Bubba sprawled on the floor half on his side wanting his
belly rubbed looking all satisfied like it's the first time he's ever been
full of food since he came to live with me two years ago. It was hard to be
mad at Bubba for scarfing all the rolls down after seeing the look of
contentment on his face. You'd think by now I'd learn to put goodies away
and that Gabby would learn that even if she gets them off the counter that
she doesn't get he spoils because Bubba always takes them from her.

Dogs..........gotta luv em even when they're being bad...............LOL

Heh. THey just look so innocent!

For years we thought Oppie "I NEVER get enough to eat" was the
one who did the counter surfing, with Dylan looking on in
disdain. Dylan died, and the counter surfing stopped. For about
a year.

Now we think that Oppie is channeling Dylan, because he HAS been
known to break into bags of crackers and nuts left on the end
table when we're out of the house (bad mommie, bad daddie!).
Still has left everything on the counters alone, however.

Celeste,
My mouth began to water when you first mentioned those onion rolls. I
know you were disappointed for a minute.
I always admire how well trained my dogs are about not getting
anything off the counter. Actually, it is me that is so well trained.
I realize it everytime something gets nabbed from the counter. It means
I did not put it far enough away.
You can forget finding the guilty culprit at my house. They all look
guilty when something is wrong.
