The first one almost matches the color scheme but the 2nd one looks like
a mini-Lassie with a blue eye (and I don't know what's up with that).

I'm meeting them because I'm volunteering at an adoption event tomorrow.
I'll be pushing these little guys pretty hard because otherwise who knows
what might happen? I CANNOT HAVE ANOTHER DOG. For one thing, Zoe WOULD
NOT UNDERSTAND.

Kidding. Actually, I know that huskies are more used to living in packs,
which does not make things problem-free, I would imagine. So I'm
interested in how you've handled adding to the pack when it was still
kinda small. And Queenie and Max would love another dog. But Zoe? Not so
much. She took to the little guy without a fuss, but another little guy?
I don't know. Do you/did you have any dogs who were pretty much one-
person oriented and pretty jealous of other dogs? Zoe doesn't behave
badly -- we all hang around in the same room and she seems to enjoy being
outside more when the other dogs are with us -- but I think she misses
the days when it was just her and me (and the cat). Or am I projecting?

I hope not! I don't know why these guys haven't been adopted yet, they've
been torturing me on the website for WEEKS. If I can't talk someone into
adopting them at a foo-foo wine and chocolate tasting event, then I am
not a salesperson!

The pack stuff is actually easier with a lot of dogs. I'm
not sure why - maybe because they make more of an effort?
Dunno. I've found that they're really easy to live with as
long as everybody gets enough exercise and if you're pretty
rigorous about structure (everybody has their own place to
eat and can't go visiting until the other dogs are finished,
etc.). For the exercise thing, I've found it's really
helpful to hook them to a large object and have them all
pull it.

The dogs have their preferences (Jack loooooves Slick,
Emmett looooooves Saber, etc.) but nobody really hates each
other. Cinder doesn't like the way Eclipse plays (ROUGH)
and so doesn't go outside when Eclipse is there. Nobody
likes Saber at all at first, but once they figure out that
he doesn't mean anything when he bumps into them and that
play bowing isn't going to get them anywhere, they're fine.

Maybe. Maybe not. I kind of feel that way about Emmett.

Good point! I am going to carry that around in my head tomorrow. As it
is, 3 dogs is a bit of a pain there.

So how do you deal with Emmett's one-woman-dog issues?

None of the dogs is allowed to act turf-y. That's another
thing - with a bunch of dogs you tend to nip things in the
bud a lot more quickly.
