hip dysplasia?
I was walking my recently foster GSD home, and it suddenly raised a rear
leg, limped, then sat down. After a few seconds it got up and was fine. Is this the dreaded hip dysplasia? I hope not. Any thoughts? ~Q |

Did you check its paw for stickers? That always seemed to be my problem.
One park we frequented has some really small dark brown stickers in the grass (don't know what they were) but you cannot put your hand down on the grass without a dozen of them sticking to you. I had to carry the dog off the grass as he was lifting three paws. Maybe a sprain? Hip dysplasia shows up more as a "constant" gait disorder, fwiw. Mack |
