Speaking of Boxers
Today I saw a young man on a bicycle with a very well muscled boxer on a
leash-the leash was wrapped around the riders wrist. In back of the rider was a baby in a baby seat-no helmet. I'd guess the child was maybe two years at the oldest. The boxer was hauling ass, the rider was weaving back and forth trying to control the dog and keep the bike balanced. Very scary. |

A couple of summers back, during a lethal heatwave, I saw a guy, probably in his thirties, riding a bike in traffic with a baby that looked to be maybe twelve months old crammed into a chest carrier meant to hold a much smaller infant. The guy was bent over his handlebars and kneeing the poor kid with every pedal stroke. I was in the wrong lane to follow him and by the time I got turned around he'd vanished, probably into one of several subdivisions located off the main road. I'm not a cop (where are they when you need one?) or a lawyer but it sure as hell looked like reckless endangerment to me. |

Poor kid, Darwinism at it's best. I seen a young guy doing the same thing only with out the kid, and he seemed to be in control. I was wondering though if his dog (being the breed it was) decided to come see my boy, who can be very animal aggressive. Would he be able to control the dog? I can control cujo but to a point. It's like people around here don't know what a leash is and certainly don't use them, bar the rare occasional responsible owner. The dog pulling the bike seemed to be loving it, I'd be to scared to do it with cujo he's VERY fast. -- ~shady angel~ |
