Default sick pup, "JR"

Elegy, There is one thing I did remember. The JR I got my husband for
Christmas, although I bout from a supposed reputable kennel and was
guaranteed verbally that she was upd on puppy vet care, got parvo. She
didn't get it here. My vet pulled her through. She did developed a
problem with her one hip and got a sizable bump on her nose. Back she
went to the vet. He told us this was not unusual in parvo survivors and
he wasn't sure if it would go away. Both the hip and nose got better. Do
you no if this pup had parvo at one time in it's life? My vet sent our
pup home as she wouldn't eat there and even though she had an IV drip
she was losing weight by the minute. He said if I couldn't get her to
eat nobody could. No magic formulas here just common sense. She did eat
and gained all her weight back. The hip problem and a large bump on the
nose didn't develop until all symptoms of parvo were gone. She was still
on an antibiotic, after seeing the bump and hip problem he put her on a
stronger antibiotic. It worked, bump is gone and her hip is normal. Hope
this helps. Delta
