Default Well fed old dog getting thinner and thinner

Hi, Our old dog gets plenty of food. One meal(Natural Life) dry mixed
with canned and water added to that is a hip health powder and a
teaspoon or so of Salmon oil. For lunch he gets some cottage cheese and
a teaspoon of flax oil. He moves his bowels every few hours. He is 16
and has some trouble with controlling when it happens. He is getting
bonier by the week. We think he may not be absorbing the nutrients. He
seems ok for an old guy. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou for your time. TonyG

Did the vet do any bloodwork? That is the easiest way and not that
expensive to see if there is an issue going on.

You should have him checked by your vet. When my old girl
started getting bony, it was because of a loss of muscle mass
and, ultimately, bone cancer.
