Default GSD and loyalty

Is it usual for a typical GSD to be loyal to one owner for the most part, or
to an entire family?

From my experience, having lived with several hundred over the last ten
years (very busy foster home for our rescue), I would say they generally are
loyal to the entire family, but they do tend to pick out a favorite person
within the family. Remo is 100% , my boy, Moochie has chosen my husband
John and Jennie loves my sister the best. Trooper is partial to anyone who
has cheese!

Yours in GSDs and rescue,

Lea

First, let me express my admiration for such a busy foster home!
Your experience is mine too. We have a foster who is good to all in the
family, but has chosen my wife as a favorite.

Question for you: do they tend to have a gender preference? Like for
females?
